Ozone, an activated form of oxygen, has been used successfully in treating a number of illnesses. It can help kill bacteria, yeasts, fungi, molds, viruses, etc. High Dose Ozone (HDO) is a form of Major Auto-Hemotherapy (MAH) in which we withdraw blood, heavily oxygenate and ozonate it, and put it back in the body. The difference between MAH and High Dose Ozone is the amount of blood treated. In MAH somewhere between 40 and 250 milliliters of blood are removed and replaced. With High Dose Ozone (HDO) we typically remove about 500 mL (1 unit) of blood, heavily oxygenate and ozone it and return it back to the body. That is considered “One Pass.” We can repeat this up to three more times in one visit to get what we call our “Four Pass” High Dose Ozone. That means that in total about 2 liters (roughly 40% of your blood volume) is removed, oxygenated and ozonated and put back in the body!
So what does all this additional oxygen and ozone do? We feel that it can provide additional benefit with fighting against infections, removing toxins, treating autoimmune disorders, and much more. Interestingly, in the patients we have used this therapy for that have postconcussion syndrome, after 3-5 of the Four Pass treatments many of their symptoms have resolved! We are optimistic it can help with numerous other conditions as well.
